Small Business Website Launch Checklist
Fill this out before your done-for-you website kickoff. It covers the content to gather, the decisions to make, and the launch-day checks I run before any site goes live. Print it (Ctrl/Cmd + P) or copy it for your team.
1. Content to gather
- Services list, in your customers' words
- Service area (cities, counties or ZIPs)
- 3–5 customer quotes or reviews you have permission to use
- Licenses, certifications or memberships to display
- 8–15 real photos (team, trucks, finished work)
- Logo file and brand colors (or "none yet")
- One sentence: why customers pick you over the next option
2. Decisions to make
- The one action you want visitors to take (call, form, or book)
- The phone number shown on the site
- Who owns new form leads, and how fast they respond
- Who owns missed calls, and whether the AI receptionist answers them
- Business hours to show
- Domain registrar and login (who has access?)
3. Revision round (one pass)
- Review every page on desktop and phone
- Collect everyone's feedback into ONE list
- Send the list in a single message
4. Launch-day checks
- Submit a test form: does it land in the CRM as a contact?
- Consent language shows on the form and is recorded
- Phone number visible at the top on mobile
- Test call: who picks up (person or AI receptionist)?
- Every button goes to the right place
- Contact info, hours and service area are correct
