Why I Build Your Website for You (Free With Any Straton Plan)
Here's something I hear almost every week from owners on walkthrough calls: "I know my website needs work. I just don't have time to mess with it."
They're right on both counts. The site needs work, and they shouldn't be the one doing it. If you run a roofing crew, a cleaning company, an insurance office or a home services shop, your best hours belong to customers and your team. They don't belong to dragging boxes around a page builder at 11 PM.
So starting now, every Straton CRM subscription comes with a free done-for-you marketing website. I build it personally. Not a template you fill in yourself, and not an AI builder you have to babysit. You tell me about your business, I build the site, you get one round of revisions, and it goes live connected to your CRM.
The real problem isn't design. It's the handoff.
I run a calling floor day to day, so I look at websites the way a sales manager does. I don't care much about fonts. I care about what happens after someone decides to reach out.
On most small business sites I review, that moment falls apart. The contact form emails an inbox nobody checks on Saturdays. The phone number sits at the bottom of the page. The lead shows up in one tool and the follow-up happens in another, if it happens at all.
A pretty site with a broken handoff is just a nicer-looking leak. That's why the website I build isn't a separate project from your CRM. It's the front door to it.
The rule I build byFrom the floorevery visitor who raises their hand should land in one place, with their details and consent attached, so someone (or something) can follow up right away.
What "done for you" actually means
When I say I build it, here's what that covers:
- A fixed, proven template. I use one layout that I know works for service businesses: clear headline, what you do, where you do it, proof, and one obvious next step. A fixed template is how I keep this free and keep it quick. You're not paying for a design agency's discovery phase.
- Your copy, written with you. You give me the raw material: services, service area, what makes you different, a few customer quotes. I turn it into page copy that sounds like a business owner, not a brochure.
- Lead forms that go straight into Straton. Form submissions land in your CRM as contacts, with consent capture and consent records on the form. No copying leads out of an email inbox.
- A clear way to call you. Your phone number goes up top and stays visible, because a lot of your buyers would rather call than fill out a form.
- AI receptionist ready, if you turn it on. Straton includes an AI receptionist that can answer inbound calls, collect the caller's details and book appointments into your CRM where you enable it. So the calls your new site generates don't go to voicemail while you're on a job.
- One round of revisions. You review the full site and send me one consolidated list of changes. I make them, and we launch.
That last point matters. One round keeps both of us honest. It pushes you to gather feedback in one pass instead of trickling in changes for six weeks, which is the number one reason small business websites never launch.
Why not just use a builder?
Straton does include an AI website builder, and some owners love it. If you like tinkering, go for it.
But most owners I talk to don't want another tool to learn. They want the result. A builder gives you a blank canvas and a lot of decisions: which sections, what order, what to say, where the form goes, how it connects to everything else. Each decision is small. Together they eat a weekend, and the site still ends up half-finished.
Done for you skips all of that. You answer questions you already know the answers to, about your own business, and I handle the rest.
What I need from you to launch fast
The biggest delay in any website project is waiting on the owner for content. Here's what to have ready before we start. It's also the backbone of the free checklist below.
- Your services, in plain words. List what you actually sell, in the words customers use. "Roof replacement," not "comprehensive exterior envelope solutions."
- Your service area. Cities, counties or ZIP codes. Be specific, because it shapes who calls you.
- Proof. Three to five real customer quotes or reviews you have permission to use, plus any licenses or certifications you can display.
- Photos. Real photos of your team, your trucks, your work. Phone photos are fine if they're well lit. Real beats stock every time.
- Your logo and colors. Whatever you have. If you don't have a logo, tell me, and we'll keep it simple.
- Who answers the leads. Decide who owns a new form fill or a missed call, and how fast they respond. The site can capture the lead, but someone has to own it.
- Your domain. Know who your domain is registered with and how to log in. This is the step that stalls the most launches.
ExampleFrom the floorA home services owner sends me a service list, a ZIP code list, four Google reviews, ten job photos and a logo on day one. That's enough for a full first draft. The owner who sends "I'll get you stuff next week" is still waiting a month later.
What this isn't
I want to be straight about the limits so nobody's surprised:
- It's a marketing website for your business, not an online store or a custom web app.
- It uses a fixed template. I'll make it yours with your copy, photos and colors, but I'm not designing a one-off layout from scratch.
- It includes one round of revisions. Want to keep changing things after launch? We can talk about that, or you can edit with the builder yourself.

I put the whole prep list into a one-page checklist: content to gather, decisions to make, and the launch-day checks I run before any site goes live (forms tested, phone number visible, leads landing in the CRM).
